The Dual Boot (DB) firmware is an OFW firmware that has been patch to allow to once again get back on CFW from the 4.60 DB firmware. So if you want to reduce the risk of a ban when playing your disc games online. This is a method that many user's have choosen. This does not mean this is full proof from a PSN-Ban because who know what Sony can actually detect many user's have used these DB firmwares with success in the past, but with any modified firmware USE AT YOUR OWN RISK
